Tasmania is hosting the Australian Orienteering Championships in April 2026. This event will double as the Australian 3 Day Championships. The carnival will be held in Northern Tasmania.

Friday April 3 – Sprint Distance Championships (Launceston area)
Saturday April 4 – Middle Distance Championships (Fingal Valley)
Sunday April 5 – Long Distance Championships (Fingal Valley)
Monday April 6 – Australian Relay Championships (Ross area)
The Australian 3 Day placegetters will be the cumulative times of the three individual championship events.

Mapping
The carnival will feature two new areas for the Middle distance and the Sprint. The Mapping Director for the carnival is Mike Morffew.
