In preparation for these Championships certain areas are embargoed.
These embargoes should be interpreted in the context of the Orienteering Australia rules and the International Orienteering Federation Fair Play Principles:
OA Rule 26.5: “Any attempt to survey or train in the competition terrain is forbidden, unless explicitly permitted by the organiser.”
IOF Fair Play resolution: “Fair Play in orienteering includes understanding and respecting the wonder of a new challenge to be met and overcome at each competition. Unfair advantage gained through advance knowledge of the terrain, map or course elements can have a significant impact on competitive results and are an attack on the core values of our sport.”
